Title: Intestinal epigenetics of preterm neonates
The PhD projects are aimed:
(1) To characterize the intestinal epigenetic pattern in response to preterm birth (relative to birth at full term).
(2) To investigate the intestinal epigenetic pattern in preterm piglets, as related to different feeding modes (TPN versus enteral—formula and colostrum).
(3) To investigate the intestinal epigenetic pattern in preterm piglets, as related to differences in bacterial colonization (antibiotic versus control treatment).
(4) To translate the findings from piglets into infants. In this slightly more exploratory work package, we will seek for potential replication of preterm piglet intestinal results on preterm infant fecal sample.
2012 – 2014
Research of hydatidiform mole based on DNA methylation.
2012 – 2014
Research of congenital heart disease based on genomics, methylome, transcriptome and proteome.
2010 – 2013
Technology development of noninvasive prenatal diagnosis based on sequencing. Applications include fetal chromosomal aneuploidies, copy number variation, monogenic disorders and fetal whole genome recovery.
