Peter Stubkjær Andersen is MSc (2004) in forestry management and PhD (2013) from Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management at the University of Copenhagen.
Peter’s current work relates to landscape management and planning with special focus on landscape ecology, ecosystem services, landscape multifunctionality, and innovative landscape planning processes.
Current research projects:
WaterProtect (2017-2020) - Is a european Horizon 2020 project aiming at ground water protection in intensive agricultural areas in Europe. Peter is involved in the Danish action lab Skive, where farmers are involved to create sustainable solutions.
N-sædskifter (2019-2020) - (In Danish) - Addresses crop rotations in relation to reduction of nitrogen leaching from agricultural fields to the aquatic environment. Peter is involved in managing the co-creative processes during the projct.
Finished research projects:
dNmark Research Alliance (2013-2018) – addressed nitrogen related challenges from different perspectives. Peter was responsible for the research component 2 which focuses on landscape processes. As part of the research component workshops were hosted in six study areas in Denmark. Local stakeholders were invited to discuss future scenarios concerning nitrogen management at the landscape level. A GIS based model was developed during the project and it has since then been further developed by Andreas Aagaard Christensen.
Landscape Futures (2013-2017) – (Fremtidens Landskaber) – focused on dialogue-based planning processes. Peter was coordinating the project Future Landscapes NordBornholm. The project aimed at creating a new landscape plan and innovative strategies for the future. The work was done in collaboration between the municipality of Bornholm, University of Copenhagen and invited local stakeholders.
Peter teaches the following course at the University of Copenhagen:
Landscape and Restoration Ecology (course coordinator)
Thematic course II: Rural landscapes - Management and Planning (course coordinator)
Naturressourcer: Forvaltning og Økonomi (in Danish)
Landskabets arealforvaltere – samarbejde og konflikter (in Danish)
