Copenhagen

I have studied and done research in the cultural landscapes as arena for the provision of services to the society for more than 20 years. A guiding storyline in the research effort is that we need to manage multiple functions at the same place at the same time in order to achieve sustainable land use. Integration of functions such as agricultural production, wildlife habitats, housing, water provisioning, amenity values and tourism. A particular focus has been on the management of urban fringe landscapes and agricultural landscapes. The green space of greater Copenhagen has been a key issue in my research.
