My PhD project focuses on using mass spectrometry (MS)- based proteomics technology to understand chronic liver disease, particularly steatohepatitis and liver fibrosis which are the key events on the spectrum of liver disease progression. For this, I'm establishing a cell-type resolved human liver proteome atlas, which will be a publicly available resource for research on both basic liver physiology and pathology. I'm also investigating the proteome changes of both plasma and liver tissue under pathological states.
