The focus of the PhD project is on pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) modelling of morphine's effect on experimental and clinical pain. The aim is to identify factors that can explain the large individual variability in the response to morphine. A better understanding of the large variability is needed for a more individual, and thus more optimal, pain management.
