My general research interest is within the area of musculoskeletal rehabilitation with attention on how physical activity/exercise can influence the outcome. My specialized research focus is to gain insight into the structure and function of human tendons and connective tissue as it relates to A) force transmission on a macroscopic and nanoscale level B) adaptation to physical activity, inactivity, and aging and C) responses to various forms of treatment of connective tissue injury.
