Current research

Nana Wesley Hansen is associate professor at the Employment Relations Research Centre (FAOS) at the Department of Sociology. Her primary research area is collective bargaining and cooperation in the public sector. In 2015, she published a book on collective cooperation at workplace level in the Danish municipalities during times of modernization and rationalization.

Furthermore, she collaborates with Associate Professor Mikkel Mailand on analyzing the collective bargaining system at sector level. Together they have conducted and published several comparative studies on the development in the public sector after the financial crisis with a special focus on the school and hospital areas.

Concurrently, Nana Wesley Hansen also conducts analysis on the recruitment of highly skilled foreign workers to Denmark. She studies the policy developments and recruitment practices at national and local levels. Recently, she has engaged in research on the relationship between offshoring of jobs and mobility of highly skilled employees in multinational companies within medico and the ICT business.

Nana Wesley Hansen is part of the research group on Knowledge, Organization and Policy at the Department of Sociology.
