Short presentation
I am leading co-editor of the Dictionary of Danish Insular Dialects and my main areas of research are semantics, cognitive linguistics, dialectology, and lexicography. I specialize in spatial language and my main current interest is the relationship between language and place, esp. the socio-culturally embedded conceptualization of place, the creation of mental maps and the relationship between language, place and identity. Another research interest is the history of Danish dialectology and lexicography. I was President of the Nordic Association for Lexicography 2013-2017, now Vice-President.
