Short presentation

Scopus Author ID: 24169033900

I am interested in how the brain controls voluntary movemnts and how brain plasticity can optimally support skill learning. Methodologically I work with noninvasive brain stimulation, functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Electroecephlography (EEG) and a wide gange of behavioral paradigms testing manual control and motor learning

Current research

I am interested in how the brain contols skilled movemnts. I use neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques to investigate the activity and connectvity patterns in the brain that support good motor control.

Currently, I work on brain state-dependnet exitability and connectivity patterns that can influence neuronal plasticity. The importance of frontoparietal connectivity for good sensori-motor integration and the effects dosage and placemnt of neuromodulatory TDCS on peripheral and central mechanisms.
