Research: Brief description

Ann-Louise Holten, Ph.D. is Associate Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Department of Psychology.

From 2009 to 2013, she was member of the executive committee for the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) and responsible for the biennual EAWOP post doc summer schools. She is currently member of the Rubin Talk Committee at the department. She is also a member of the editorial board for the Scandinavian Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology.

Ann-Louise Holten's overall research interests capture organisational processes. More specifically, she is interested in the interrelations between work context (e.g. organizational change), the organization of work (e.g. job demands & resources), management (e.g. leadership and leadership learning) and different outcomes (e.g. well-being, productivity, and employment status). Her work is primarily quantitative, but she also works with mixed methods. She has experience with designing, performing, and evaluating intervention studies. Her work has appeared in the European Journal of Industrial Relations, Work & Stress, Journal of Advanced Nursing, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, Journal of Leadership Studies, Management Decision.

Currently, Ann-Louise Holten teaches courses in leadership and organizational change and she is course coordinator for the Master/WOP programme. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
