1964 10/3: Born in Gentofte, grew up in Snekkersten.

1983: Began to study history at the University of Copenhagen.

1992: Master's degree in history.

1994-1996: PH.D. scholarship at the Department of History, University of Copenhagen.

1997:  PH.D. degree at the Department of History, University of Copenhagen.

1997-2002: Research fellow at the Department of History, University of Copenhagen.

2002-2006: Assistant professor at the Department of History, University of Copenhagen.

2003: Received the Einar Hansens Forskningsfonds stipendium .

2003-2004: Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel.

2006: Associate professor at the Saxo-Institute, History Section, University of Copenhagen.

Since 1999 member of the "Kildeskriftselskab" (the Society for Editing Danish Historicla Sources) and of its board, since 2004 chairman.

Since 2008 member of DSL (Society for Danish Language and Literature), since 2011 member of the society's board.

Primary fields of research

Danish and early modern history 1500-1700 especially in the fields of court history, intellectual history and the history of religious and political thought.
