b. 1953, Professor of Early Modern History since 2002. Before that associate professor of history, associate professor of humanist informatics, assistant professor of humanist informatics, research fellow in history, all at the University of Copenhagen.Member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, The Royal Danish Society for Danish History, The Society for the Publication of Sources to the History of Denmark, etc.

Owning, wearing, using weapons in Europe, 1500-2000.

Danish and European history 1600-1800. War, war experiences, military and civilians as social and cultural groups. Social elites and power elites. State formation processes.Teaching
