Personal profile

Short presentation

I am an ecologist with broad interests and expertise in community ecology,  forest ecology, ecosystem functioning and statistical analysis. The overarching aim of my research is to understand the mechanisms that determine the coexistence of species; how they are affected by environmental change; and in turn, how these mechanisms feedback into the functioning of ecosystems, from local to global scales. I also have a big interest in using remote sensing, geospatial analysis and advanced statistical methods.

I am currently teaching at Masters level at two different courses. I am lecturing at the Ecology and Ecosystems Sience in relation to Environmental Economics (https://kurser.ku.dk/course/nigk13008u). Together with Prof. Inger Kappel-Schmidt, I am responsible for the course Biodiversity in Managed Forests (https://kurser.ku.dk/course/nigk18000u/2018-2019).
