Mickey Gjerris is an associate professor in Bioethics. His research focuses on the relationship between humans and nature, especially with regard to climatic change and the ethical aspects of new technologies such as biotechnology applied to animals and plants, nanotechnology etc. He is also working with the areas such as views of nature, environmental ethics, animal ethics and with more existential issues such as different understandings of "the good life" and the meaning of life, the universe and everything.
