Primary fields of research
Min forskning ligger indenfor farmakoepidemiologi, idet fokus er analyse af lægemiddelforbrug i befolkningsgrupper ud fra registerdata og udvikling af farmakoepidemiologiske modeller. Jeg har specielt interesseret mig for lægemiddelforbrug i den aldrende befolkning, drivkræfter bag det stigende lægemiddelforbrug – og har specielt interesseret mig for på statiner (gruppe af kolesterolsænkende midler) herunder policy på området.
Lægemiddelforbruget analyseres med en samfundsmæssig vinkel, idet jeg undersøger sociale,
etniske og kønsmæssige forskelle i lægemiddelforbrug. Endvidere har jeg fokus
på lægemiddelbrug i relation til social ulighed i sundhed.
Jeg arbejder derudover med psykosociale faktorers betydning for brug af antidepressiv
medicin og ADHD medicin.
