Research
Has previously worked with economic planning with focus on farmers’ decision-making behaviour. Research topics include analysing machinery costs and modelling farmers’ investment decisions. Research methodology has involved non-parametric analysis as well as qualitative approaches. Current research deals with environmental economics and the costs of reducing N-leaching, ammonia emission and emission of green house gasses from agriculture. Lately research into the costs of handling animal manure using separation techniques and the introduction of new technologies in organic farming has been carried out. Currently involved in analysing measures and costs related to the implementation of the Water Framework Directive in Denmark.
