Short presentation

Audrey Lebret is working on the reconceptualization of reproductive rights, a project funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark.

Among other topics in international and comparative law, her prior research concerned the interactions between human rights and bioethics, especially in organ transplantation norms. 

Audrey studied and worked in Europe, the United States and South America. Her education is both in law and in management. Audrey holds a Master’s degree in human rights law from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris, as well as a Master in American law from Boston University for which she was granted a full-tuition scholarship. Audrey also holds a Maîtrise in Business law and a Master in international management, completed in France and Brazil. She obtained her diploma of doctor in international law at Panthéon-Assas university.

Before joining the faculty initially as visiting researcher, Audrey taught for five years at French universities and has been assistant professor at the faculty of law of the University of Bordeaux. She also worked on a microfinance project in Brazil and at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague.

At CeBIL, she will especially work on the conceptualization and theorization of reproductive rights through international and European human rights law.
