Jette Led Sørensen er professor i interprofessionel læring og tilknyttet stabsfunktionen og har ansvar for udvikling og forskning i tværfaglig udannelse og lægelige videreuddannelse i Juliane Marie Centeret for Børn, Kvinder og Reproduktion og i BørneRiget på Rigshospitalet.

Er specialæge i gynækologi obstetrik og postgraduat klinisk lektor og formand for det specialespecifikke uddannelsesråd i gynækologi og obstetrik og ansvarlig for speciallægeuddannelsen i gynækologi og obstetrik. Indgår i den pædagogisk udviklende funktion i uddannelsesregion øst og udpeget til Det Regionale Råd for Lægers videreuddannelse i Østdanmark. Er tilknyttet undervisningsudvalget i Dansk Selskab for Obstetrik og Gynækologi. Arbejder med curriculumudvikling med målbeskrivelser og kompetencervurderingsmetoder i speciallægeuddannelsen, og indgået i arbejdsgrupper under Sundhedsstyrelsen.

Jette Led Sørensen har en Master in Medical Education Degree, University of Dundee, Scotland med afhandlingen ‘Obstetric Skills Training - Development, implementation and evaluation of a training program’. Arbejder vedvarende med tværfaglig træning for alle faggrupper tilknyttet fødegangen med simulations baserede læringsmetoder samt deltageraktiverende pædagogiske metoder. Har en doctoral dissertation /ph.d ved Maastricht University, Holland, der omhandler tværfaglig simulations-baseret obstetrisk træning.

Arbejder med en forskningsbaseret tilgang til simulationsbaseret uddannelse indenfor tværfaglig træning af akutte hændelser ved fødsler, simulations baseret laparoskopisk træning og simulationsbaseret oplæring i ultralyd, og er vejleder på flere ph.d projekter, og væet vejleder på tre afsluttede ph.d forløb.

Er studieleder for den Sundhedsfaglige Kandidatuddannelsen – Cand. Scient. San. - ved Det Sundhedsvidenskabelige Fakultet, Københavns Universitet. Det er en kandidatuddannelse for akademisk opkvalificering af sygeplejersker, jordemødre, fysioterapeuter og andre med en mellemlang videregående sundhedsuddannelse. Jette Led Sørensen var ansvarlig for at udvikle curriculum for den Sundhedsfalige Kandidatuddannelse og har bidraget aktivt til implementering siden 2006 og til den Sundhedsfaglige Kandidatuddannelse fortsatte udvikling. 

Jette Led Sørensen er udpeget medlem af jordemoderuddannelses undervisningsudvalg og sygeplejeuddannelsens undervisingsudvalg ved Københavns Professionshøjskolen, Metropol, København

Experiences with education: Taught and planned several courses, workshops etc. Experienced in education of all kind of health professional staff, and have been working with several kind of education, as lectures, small group teaching, problem based learning, participatory learning, skills-training, training of communication, e-learning, simulation-based training, virtual reality surgical training etc

Development of educational materials: Developed several educational materials especially within multiprofessional obstetric training, for both training of staff and for training of teachers.
