My assignments in connection with our research projects on multi-level regulation of plant metabolism include generation of Illumina sequencing libraries, transcriptome and genome sequencing, expression profiling in plants by qPCR, building cDNA libraries by high-throughput cloning, Yeast two-Hybrid screens, generation and characterization of mutants and transgenic plant lines and targeted metabolite analyses. Conducting these wet lab experiments, typically involves method establishing and optimization as well as experimental design.
