Diarrheal diseases transmitted via food still pose a major public health problem in both low and high income countries. I’ll tell the public health story of a few important foodborne bacterial infections, Salmonella, Campylobacter and Listeria, with a focus on their epidemiology, major outbreaks and recent progress in managing the infections in Denmark.
