    Abstract

How has the condition of the environment developed

during the last 100 years? This is an important question

because the conditions of the past infl uence those of the

present, and knowledge about this development makes

it possible to evaluate the causes of changes in species

richness, species composition and environmental quality.

Here we compare old and contemporary studies of the

    Danish stream fl ora.
