The whole horse approach to equine rehabilitation: the myofascial view

    Abstract

Overall full body models as the myofascial kinetic lines, which integrates functionally interrelated and integrated structures of the locomotion system, is necessary to better understand the collaborations in the locomotion system. In the myofascial kinetic lines the connective tissue plays a dominant role as well mechanical as in collaboration with the nervous system. The effect of a myofascia release is measurable in muscles with multi-frequency bioimpedance measurements, and it is shown to affect the health and function of the skeletal muscles.
