The Early Neolithic phases of Beidha in a regional context

Abstract

The paper is a preliminary account of the new analyses of the Beidha material and concentrates on the earliest levels from the site: the pre-architectural levels as well as a sample of material from Phase A1 buildings. A contextual analysis of some of the phase A1 buildings is introduced and the development from temporary shelters to stone-built architecture in the area is discussed.
