Abstract

Surfaces that show scale invariance are abundant in Nature and in the literature. There are many ways that such scale invariance may manifest itself and unfortunately this has led to the introduction of many different concepts in the literature. It is the aim of this short review to systematize and clarify the relations between these different concepts. Hence, we will describe and relate the following concepts.
