Abstract
In this fi nal chapter we look ahead and address four questions:
- How do we improve stream management?
- What are the likely developments in the biological quality of streams?
- In which areas is knowledge on stream ecology insuffi cient?
- What can streams offer children of today and adults of tomorrow?
