Abstract

SO2/H2O pressure broadening and frequency shifting coefficients, γ0 and δ0, are reported for 23 unblended absorption lines in the infrared vibration- rotation band v2 of H2O between 1400 and 1800cm-l. The data were obtained from FTIR spectra recorded with a resolution of 0.03cm-1. Values for γ0 and δ0 are found to he between 0·6 and 0·1 cm-1 atm-1 and +0·10 and –0·13 cm-1 atm-1, respectively.
