Abstract
During the last decade student business incubation activities have become mainstream activities in Western universities. This is also the case in Danish higher education where all universities have established in-house student incubators. The models applied are different and place varied emphasis on the integration of extracurricular activities with formal credit awarding activities. In a Danish context, such integration has become increasingly important due to recent political reforms aimed at shortening the time it takes students to graduate in order to reduce national higher education expenditures. On this backdrop, this paper explores the following questions:
• How and to what extent do university student incubators collaborate with formal study programmes?
• And which factors influence this integration of curricular and extracurricular activities?
