Abstract

At the strategic level in ISO/IEC 33014 you identify the scope of change and choose change strategy; possibly using the Organizational Change Nexus for doing so. The Nexus-model takes into account the contingencies in an organization and can be used to derive a recommendation for how to organize the change process. In this paper we present a new and improved Nexus version 2 solving three problems that were in the original Nexus: (1) Over-sensitivity to the answer of a few statements. (2) A bias in the questionnaire leading to certain strategies being recommended too often. (3) New research on organizational change that ought to be included. Further, we can present the first results from using the Nexus in 51 companies in 2017–18 Based on a first analysis of these results we conclude that Nexus 2.0 works better and has overcome the three problems we identified.
