Abstract

BACKGROUND: A 72-year-old patient presented with severe dyspnoea and peripheral oedema. INVESTIGATION: Physical examination, electrocardiogra¬ phy, laboratory tests, echocardiogram, coronary angiogra¬phy, aortography of the ascending aorta. DIAGNOSIS: Severe aortic valve stenosis. MANAGEMENT: Transaortic valve implantation (CoreValve). KEYWORDS: aortic valve stenosis, CoreValve, paravalvular leakage, snare, TAVI.
