Abstract
It is argued that the nature of mathematics has undergone two revolutions. One in connection with the ancient Greek introduction of the axiomatic-deductive method and another in connection with the introduction of structural mathematics arround 1900. The role of non-Euclidean geometry in connection with the latter change is analyzed
