Abstract

We present the preliminary results of a project aimed at high resolution spectral analysis of stars in a kinematically identified stellar group, suspected to belong to a remnant of a disrupted satellite galaxy. The 16 stars analysed by now have a metallicity around -0.7 dex, an average isochrone age of about 12Gyr, their chemical composition is homogeneous and distinct from the Galactic disk dwarfs. This provides further evidence of their common and maybe extragalactic origin.
