Abstract

The formation of C6H9N+2·C6 H4NO-2 was presented using oxidative degradation of neat bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine. A single crystal was subjected to structure determination for characterizing the decomposition product. It is found that the structure of the given compound shows four hydrogen bonds which links the ions into infinite chains along the a axis.
