Current research

My current post.doc. project is presented here:

I am also elaborating some of the findens and aspects of my PhD. study `The Struggle for Clean Sports´. This concerns anti-doping efforts of international sport federations such as the UCI, FIFA and IAAF. In addition, I analyse the challenges for national politics in the process of implementing global anti-doping rules.

In collaboration with Rasmus Storm (SDU/IDAN) I am engagemed in a project on the phenomenon `sports scandals´. By using Luhmann, Laclau and Weber we try to outline a theoretical model as well as a model for categorization of sports scandals.

Together with Rasmus Storm and John Hoberman (University of Texas, Austin) I am the editor of the anthology `Observing Sport´. The inspiration from the German sociologist Niklas Luhmann is the pivotal point. It appears on Hofmann Verlag early summer 2010.

Toghter with Lone Friis Thing I am the editor of a new Danish reader in Sport Sociology. It will appear the summer 2011 at the publisher Munksgaard - Gyldendal Academic.
