I moved from Sydney, Australia to join Niels Mailand’s group as a postdoc in 2017. The Mailand group seeks to understand how cellular responses that safeguard the integrity of the genetic material following DNA damage and replication stress are orchestrated and regulated in space and time.
Ubiquitin chains are protein polymers that regulate most aspects of cell biology, however they are poorly understood. My research is focussed on understanding how Ubiquitin chains are involved in the recognition and repair of DNA damage, primarily through the use of biochemistry and microscopy based experiments.
