With respect to research, my PhD was based on fieldwork in East Uganda and is concerned with war, peace, and reconciliation.
Since 2005 I have been responsible for the reception and education of new students to the department. This means that, apart from spending most of my time on teaching new students the basic themes in anthropology, I work out elaborate course plans for most of the first year teaching, and coordinate the contributions from the department’s other researchers and lecturers.
Further, I am, in collaboration with the department’s administrative staff, responsible for the logistics involved in the division of students into groups, the organization of teaching hours, classrooms, compendia, and examinations, as well as responsible for organizing introductions to study techniques etc.
