Personal profile

CV

I am a researcher in the field of production economics and performance measurement. I am working on issues relating to development of Agribusiness in developing countries especially in Bangladesh. My research interest include among other: performance measurement and analysis, business management, risk analysis, and economic analysis. Much of my research focuses on economic efficiency, financial performance and risk analysis of farms influencing the rural economies.

In terms of methods, I prefer to use Stochastic modelling like SFA and DEA, models for microeconomic and econometric production analysis, and panel data econometrics in financial performance measurement.

I currently work as a teaching faculty member at the Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh in the department of Accounting and Information Systems. Prior to that, I spent few years working as a trainee accountant (auditing) at the KPMG RRH, a Chartered Accountants farm in Bangladesh.

I received PhD training in Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and subsequently received two PhD degree one from the Patuakhali Science and Technology University and the University of Copenhagen.

Before gaining an interest and focusing my research interest in Production Economics and Agribusiness performance analysis, I was a student of Business Administration with major in Accounting and a Professional Accountancy at the University of Chittagong and at The Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bangladesh respectively.
