Personal profile

Short presentation

My name is Louise and I’m a scientific assistant at CoRe. I work at the project Senior Practice on mental health in the transition from working life to retirement. I am a graduate from comparative literature and my primary interest is the cross field between culture and psychology. I have studied literary representations of social wellfare and vulnerability and I wrote my master’s thesis on self-help literature that claims to cure anxiety, stress and depression. I have published scientific articles on literary analogies in the self-help genre and on notions of resilience and self-realization as healing strategies in blogs and online universes addressing people who suffers from mental disorders. In addition, I have worked as a cultural journalist and moderator at Dagbladet Politiken and as a development consultant in an NGO that advises children and young people experiencing violence.
