Short presentation

Originally MA in Polish Studies, I defected to Danish as Second Language in the beginning of the millenium.

Current research

I am currently engaged in a research project about Mothertongue Education in CPH. My primary focus is the role of MTE and the construction of identity in Polish-Danish families.

Primary fields of research

Second Language Acquisition, Danish as Second Language, acquisition of pronunciation, motivation in relation to SLA, identity and SLA, attitudes, language debates in cyberspace.

Teaching

Undervisning

Jeg underviser i alle discipliner inden for vores fagområde: sprogbeskrivelse, andetsprogstilegnelse, kultur & sprog, samt - som noget nyt i efteråret 2016 - andetsprogspædagogik. Sidstnævnte fag afvikles som projektarbejde i samarbejde med CIP.
Desuden underviser jeg indimellem også i valgfag på BA-delen - i reglen med mit primære undervisningsområde som udgangspunkt.

Vejledningsområder

Jeg vejleder primært i generelle emner inden for dansk som fremmed- og andetsprog, andetsprogstilegnelse,udtaletilegnelse, sammenhænge mellem motivation og sprogtilegnelse, identitet og sprog samt kultur og sprog.
Vejleder også i emner om medie- og politisk diskurs, som har relation til mit fagområde.
Fra tid til anden vejleder jeg også sprogpsykologiske specialer med emner tæt på ovenstående.

1990-2000: PhD student and assistant teacher at UCPH, Department of Slavonic Studies

2000-2002: Coordinator at the Graduate School in Lifelong Learning, RUC

2003- now: Associate Professor in Danish as a Second Language, Department of Scandinavian Studies and Linguistics, UCPH
