Short presentation

My interests are centered on both teaching and research in animal production. Animal production is an important factor for improving food security and reducing poverty in developing countries, and is a business, source of income and way of life in developed countries. Production that is socially, economically and environmentally sustainable is urgently needed in both developing and developed countries. My interests are in cattle, sheep and goat production systems- both the effect of the environment on the animals as well as the effect of the animals on their environment. Prioritizing and finding balances for the necessary trade-offs are among my teaching and research interests.
