Short presentation

I was born in Odense (DK), but grew up in Paris. After living in London, Copenhagen, Vienna, Florence, Munich, Berkeley CA, and Rome, I now speak all languages with an accent.

My law studies in Paris sparked my interest for everything that made positive law. I moved back to Copenhagen to study political science in order to understand the processes that come into play to make the law. There, I rekindled my high school interest in philosophy by focusing on political theory. Political and legal theory are not strange bedfellows. Political thought has of course a history, which is why I focused on this in my PhD studies.

At the Centre for Privacy Studies I focus on the intellectual history of law and particularly on the aspect of privacy in natural law and natural philosophy in 17th-century Germany and 18th-century Scotland.
