Short presentation

PhD Fellow at DynaMo– Center for dynamic molecular interactions

The focus of my work is epigenetic regulation of plant defense. Plants have developed a high phenotypic variation in order to cope with challenging and ever-changing environments. These heritable traits are not only determined by changes in the DNA sequence, but also by epigenetic factors. I am working on the impact of DNA methylations on variation in the chemical defense compounds glucosinolates and more generally on the ability of plants to propagate environmental adaptation to the next generation without genetic mutations.
