Personal profile

Short presentation

I am interested in applying modern machine learning and statistical methods to solve and answer epidemiological problems and questions. I'm especially keen on Bayesian analysis techniques, and how we can exploit probabilitistic approaches to modelling.

My PhD project revolves around using electronic patient records for pharmacovigilance, particularly adverse events after, and reactions to polypharmacy. To this end, I employ various computational techniques, including text mining of free-text clinical narratives and longitudinal modelling techniques.
