Description
PROLED - PROspective Longitudinal all comer inclusion study on Eating Disorders. The ongoing PROLED study is a clinical naturalistic 10 year annual follow-up study and current annual intake is at least 60 patients per year. The PROLED study has been reviewed and approved by the local ethical committee and is conducted in compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and International Conference on Harmonisation and Good Clinical Practice guidelines. All participants participating in the PROLED study have provided their written informed consent. Initial diagnostic assessment are done using the Psychiatric State Examination (PSE) diagnostic interview (Wing, Nixon, von Cranach, & Strauss, 1977), Eating Disorder Examination (diagnostic questions; EDE) (Cooper & Fairburn, 1987), and routine clinical and laboratory assessments, to ensure high quality diagnosing of Eating Disorders (ED) and comorbid disorders. The following diagnoses are included: Typical or atypical forms of AN, BN, BED, Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS), all according to the ICD-10 (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 1992), except BED which is diagnosed according to DSM-V (Association, 2013). The PROLED study includes validated questionnaires and tests that asses general and specific aspects of ED and also co-morbid disorders such as depression, anxiety, autism, psychosis. In addition, other aspects are covered such as personality, previous trauma, cognition, social aspects, global function, and quality of life.Period | 1 Jan 2016 → 31 Dec 2026 |
