The presenter. The presenttaion is requested by Kartal Lutfi Kirdar Research Hospital and Ministry of Health, Turkey.These presenttaion is part of "Diabetes School"; thus for the first time oral health has been integrated to diabetes education at public and governmental level. This presentation is also to provide the sustainability of the project " Smile Healthy to Your Presentation' (Turkey, phase I). The project is the first time to be implemented as an oral health based lifestyle intervention-Oral Health Coaching- for better management of diabetes. Based on the unpublished results the intervention, the intervention has high impact on reduction of HbA1c and periodontal diseases (the publications are under process). This project is a model for phase II that has been running in Denmark under the coordination of University of Copenhagen, School of Dentistry. The project is supported by FDI and IDF.
