Philosophy of Coaching: An International Journal (Journal)

Activity: Publication peer-review and editorial work typesEditor of Research journalResearch

Description

The purpose of this journal is to contribute to furthering our collective understanding as to what coaching is, what coaching can become, and how coaching can have a positive impact on society as a whole.
Despite growing public awareness of coaching there still exists confusion as to its nature and value, and debate as to its further evolution in all its various forms.
Vibrant scholarship is critical for reducing such confusion and to resolving such debates.
Fortunately, there are already a number of excellent journals dedicated to the sharing of experimental research.
That permits this journal to be somewhat more inclusive, and give greater preference to papers that seek to share new ideas and perspectives about coaching, and challenge pre-existing assumptions about coaching practice, its foundations and the industry that supports it.
As such, we seek well-referenced articles, drawing on a wide range of sources (not only the literature on coaching) providing original, rigorous and compelling thinking as to how coaching can have a greater impact.
