Description

The paper will explain how the Greenlanders build their identity in the meeting or overlaying of two different maps: Te Scandinavian/European and the Inuit Circumpolar. The paper will give e brief introduction to the mental map of the Greenlanders as this has changed through different phases of nation building. The presentation will end with the ideal map: what the Greenlanders wish the map would look like, as contrasted to the postcolonial realities.
