Description

Masterclass for students from The Norwegian State Academy of Music, Oslo, about the Mozart operas Idomeneo, Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni and Zauberflöte. Musical and stage instruction by Opera singer Marianne Hirsti, historical contextualisation and comments about the connection between the operas and Mozart's church music by Nils Holger Petersen. High mass (Lutheran) incorporating performance of Mozart's Mass in C major (K 317) in Bragernes Church (cond. Terje Kvam) Sunday morning with introductions by Nils Holger Petersen and Terje Kvam. Concert on Sunday evening with semi-staged performances of scenes from the mentioned operas with comments by Nils Holger Petersen.
