Cultural policy as identity policy

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesOrganisation of and participation in conference

Description

Identity and collective forms of identity as nationalism has been improved as a huge dimension in cultural policy debates and practises in Europe and all over the world in recent years. Globalization and migration are crucial factors behind transformation of cultural policy to identity policy all over the world. As stated in several papers to ICCPR2010 cultural and political discourses displayed in regions, nations, national states and in minority groups seem to indicate that collective forms of identity, such as nationalism, are improved in public cultural policy and will hardly be reduced in the years to come as demonstrated in several papers to the conference.
