CARMEN is a worldwide network which brings together groups of medievalists as well as individual universities, public and private bodies (e.g. museums, galleries, publishers), actively involved in the teaching or research of the Middle Ages (ca. 400-1500 AD/CE). The role of the General Secretary is mainly to maintain contact with the participating scholars and institutions.
