N2 - We compared the effect of subcutaneous adalimumab injections with intraarticular glucocorticoid injections on frozen shoulder of 18 patients with unilateral joint involvement. Ten patients were randomised to subcutaneous injections with adalimumab and eight to intraarticular glucocorticoid injections administered every other week for a total of three administrations. The evaluation included validated scores. No effect of subcutaneous injections of adalimumab on frozen shoulder symptoms was demonstrated.
